Gili Mimpang ist eine der kleinen Inseln die einige Kilometer vor Candidas liegen. Hier fällt der Meeresgrund von ca. 10 auf über 60 Meter steil ab. Die wechselnden starken Strömungen locken auch Großfische an. Weißspitzenhaie und Mondfische sind oft zu sehen. Allerdings hängt man dafür meist eine halbe Stunde untätig im Wasser herum. Zum Auftauchen lässt man sich in schneller Fahrt mit der Strömung auf die weniger tiefe Seite treiben und hat dann noch schöne Korallen anzuschauen. - - - - - - - English: - - Mimpang is one of the small rocky islands some kilometers in front of Candidasa. At one side of the rocks the sea is 10 meters deep but the other side more than 60 meters. And strong currents make that place interesting for big fishes like White Tips and Mola Mola. You can see them often but mostly you have to wait about half an hour just hanging around and blowing away the air. For coming up you have to change to the other side in a fast drift dive. There you find wonderful corals.
